Serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty and preceptors for the Experiential Education Program and performs a wide range of administrative tasks within the College of Pharmacy to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities include:
- Promote and preserve the mission of LECOM;
- Administrates the PharmAcademicTM experiential rotation management system, and oversees the coordination and scheduling of 1000+ rotations, 450+ rotation sites throughout Florida and nationwide;
- Facilitates the development of new experiential education sites, processes affiliation agreements, coordinates preceptor training and ensures student compliance with site requirements;
- Administrates the student competency assessment and grading tool. Retrieves and monitors student grades and coordinates reporting to the registrar;
- Maintains confidentiality concerning student / patient information/grades and their security in accordance with applicable law and Institutional Policy and Procedure;
- Initiates and processes quarterly disbursements to preceptors and experiential education sites;
- Performs analysis for components of program needs and recommends programmatic changes toward strategic planning goals and objectives;
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of accreditation processes and overall operation of the School of Pharmacy;
- Processes student requirements for rotations, including background checks, drug screenings and immunizations within FERPA guidelines;
- Serves as the primary liaison for experiential education sites and faculty;
- Effectively communicates with affiliated organizations, consultants, vendors, etc. in all matters of mutual importance; and
- Accept other duties at the direction of the direct supervisor as required / needed to maintain efficient and effective operations.

Minimum requirements include:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Exceletc.) and accurate data entry skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Maintains an established work schedule;
- Ability to be self-reliant and follow instructions;
- Possesses a typing speed of at least 65 wpm with a high degree of accuracy;
- Ability to create, or transcribe documents;
- Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to work independently and as directed by the Director of Experiential Education;
- Capable of assuming responsibility; initiating appropriate action; and maintaining confidentiality;
- Possess excellent grammar, writing and proofreading skills;
- Experience in using various office equipment, i.e. copier, fax, scanner, etc.;
- Ability to work in a fast paced and complex environment that requires multitasking;
- Effectively uses interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy;
- Effectively uses organizational and planning skills, including, but not limited to, attention to detail and follow-through;
- Assesses and prioritizes multiple tasks, projects, and demands;
- Maintains confidentiality of work related information and materials;
- The ability to work cooperatively and collegially with others, consistent with a workplace of dignity and respect and EEO rules and regulations;
- The ability to report to work as scheduled, ready to devote full attention and energy to the important work of LECOM;
- The ability to accept work directives from managers and supervisors in a respectful and cooperative manner; and
- Be able to be flexible to accept other duties needed/assigned for the Institution's needs.
Minimum qualifications include education and experience equivalent to: High School Diploma and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in a business, industry or higher education environment is preferred.
Successful candidate must possess efficient and effective verbal and written communication skills, multi-task and problem solve, prepare reports and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other various internet resources to properly support and promote the mission of LECOM.
