Our client is one of the largest health care providers in Maryland, with 12,000 team members, caring for over 1 million patients annually. Hiring a key member of the team: Nurse Manager, Subacute and Long-Term Care (Baltimore, MD). We are offering a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nurse Manager will oversee two units at this hospital. The units are subacute rehab and long-term care (LTC). Responsible for ensuring that safe, age-appropriate patient care is provided during hours of unit operation. Hall 1 and Hall 2's patient population are primarily geriatric. The Nurse Manager functions as role model, advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team. Of equal importance is each employee's commitment to the value of teamwork in order to promote a unified and spirited workplace. Directly supervises an Assistant Nurse Manager.

UNITS DESCRIPTION:

Hall 1 (Subacute Care): Comprised of a 40-bed long-term care unit that offers residents daily activities along with a wide range of services and support. Hall 1 is sub-acute rehabilitation with high complexity of needs. This unit is a fast-paced, busy atmosphere with patient conditions ranging post operation, post stroke, post cardiac, ambulatory rehab, as well as high volume for wound care and prevention.

Hall 2 (LTC/Memory Care): Comprised of a 50-bed long-term care unit; that offers residents daily activities along with a wide range of services and support. Hall 2 is a standard long-term care unit with differing patient acuity levels, from high functioning to bedridden. Diagnoses include diabetes, cardiac issues, dementia, behavior, etc.
