Restaurant General Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Full-Service General Manager experience in a high-volume, systems-oriented, upscale-casual or casual environment
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with an ownership mentality
  • Strong leadership ability, flexibility, adaptability, and maturity to lead a large team
  • Build respectful relationships with every member while holding them accountable - integrity is essential
  • Manage high standards while paying attention to every detail
  • A sincere passion for hospitality and creating an impeccable guest experience
  • Highly skilled at financials, P&L, and managing food, labor, and operational costs
  • Ability to manage all cost control centers and build sales through proper training and follow-through
  • Proven ability to hire and grow strong teams, maintain high retention rates, and build bench strength
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and emotional intelligence
