Design Build Manager

MasTec Civil continues to grow in the Southeast and is adding a new role! We are currently looking for a Design Build Manager with expertise in alternative delivery of civil construction projects. The Design Build Pursuit Manager manages the pursuit of large, alternative delivery civil construction projects, with a focus on transportation. The successful candidate must be a good forward planner and excellent motivator as they must manage large teams with different goals to enable them to work together to produce a coordinated and coherent design, estimate, and proposal. Leadership qualities and the ability to present ideas effectively and evaluate the ideas of others are a must. This role will be hybrid in office and preference to be based in one of our MasTec Civil offices in Tampa, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Orlando, FL, Miami, FL, Medley, FL, Charlotte, NC or Nashville, TN.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in civil construction management, with a focus on design-build projects or pursuits. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficient in project management software and tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Take reasonable care of your and others' health and safety, and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role, by taking personal responsibility for working toward the market sectors' Zero Injury principles. Read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficient in project management software and tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills. Advanced supervisory and leadership skills. PPE and Health/Safety devices should be worn and fit properly when required Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard, and/or mouse for training Must have and maintain a valid state-issued Driver's License with a driving record that meets company guidelines. Travel requirement 25%, or as needed based on business demands.
