Shift Duration:
10?hour days minimum; 12?hour shifts may be considered
Call:
Regular beeper call required (cardiac OR/urgent cases)
EMR:
Epic (experience with Epic EMR preferred)
Required Qualifications - Cardiovascular / Cardiac Anesthesiology
Minimum 1 year experience as a cardiovascular anesthesiologist or cardiac anesthesiologist
Cardiovascular (CV) fellowship training required
Advanced perioperative echocardiography skills and intraoperative TEE expertise
TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) certification
Ability and willingness to cross?credential at multiple facilities
Comfort participating in regular beeper call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery
Valid medical license to practice in Florida or ability to obtain Florida license promptly
Key Responsibilities - Cardiac Anesthesia Duties
Provide anesthesia medical direction and clinical care for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical cases
Utilize advanced perioperative echo and TEE for intraoperative decision?making and hemodynamic management
Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, perfusionists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in scheduled beeper call coverage and respond to urgent cardiac cases as required
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in Epic EMR and follow hospital protocols
Adhere to quality, safety, and compliance standards for cardiac anesthesia and perioperative care
