Duration: 1+ years with possibility to convert to full‑time within 1‑2 years. Interview Method: On‑site. C2C Possible: No, W2 only. Due Date: 07/01/2026.
Location Requirement: Must be located within 1 hour of Lansing, MI at time of submission. Relocation is not allowed. Hybrid schedule with onsite days Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8 hours per day. First month onboarding requires onsite presence 5 days per week. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. H1B, H4, TN visas are acceptable, but OPT or CPT are not.
Tasks
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
Create test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases based on requirements.
Execute functional, integration, and regression testing; log and track defects.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business partners.
Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements and quality standards.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Assist with system demonstrations, training materials, and production validation.
Ensure documentation remains accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
Gathering, documenting, and testing clear, unambiguous business requirements from the client.
Understand the business requirements thoroughly in order to communicate business needs and system functionality to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community.
Serve as the Scrum‑Master on projects, coordinating with the PMO’s Project Manager for artifacts/documentation needed on State of Michigan projects.
Work with the project team and stakeholders to examine existing and future‑state business processes, data, and systems to guide the gathering of business requirements and execution of test cases related to desired system functionality.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Skills Required
3 years’ experience Business Analyst (must have both BA and QA experience)
3 years’ experience Quality Assurance Analyst (must have both BA and QA experience)
3 years’ experience Azure DevOps knowledge – or similar tool like JIRA (comfortable with creating epics/features/user stories for projects as well as moving cards through project lifecycle)
3 years’ experience understanding of BA, QA, DEV roles/responsibilities
3 years’ experience with as‑is/to‑be processes and content creation
3 years’ experience with creating product roadmap
3 years’ experience familiarity with Project Management Methodologies/Agile
3 years’ experience adept with using BA/QA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio)
