As a
Data Analytics & Visualisation Engineer , you will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights through advanced analytics and high-impact visualisations. You will partner closely with analytics, engineering, and mission stakeholders to design, develop and deliver Tableau-based dashboards that support operational awareness, performance monitoring and executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
Design, build and evolve analytics‑ready data pipelines (ETL/ELT) that support scalable reporting and visualisation use cases, ingesting structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
Lead the development of advanced Tableau dashboards and visual analytics products, emphasising clarity, usability and decision support for operational and executive audiences.
Translate complex datasets into clear, intuitive visual stories that communicate trends, risks and performance insights.
Partner with analytics and engineering teams to operationalise data products into production‑ready dashboards and reporting workflows.
Participate across the full analytics development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modelling, dashboard design, testing, deployment and iterative refinement.
Present dashboard insights, trends and analytical findings to internal customers and leadership, tailoring content for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Collaborate with design and product teams to implement modern visualisation techniques, UX best practices and interactive analytics.
Support and continuously enhance analytics and visualisation platforms, ensuring performance, scalability and data integrity.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related quantitative field with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, visualisation or analytics engineering in lieu of a degree.
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Experience developing data pipelines and analytics workflows using Python or similar modern analytics languages.
Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelling to support analytical and visualisation use cases.
Hands‑on experience developing visual analytics and dashboards, with demonstrated proficiency in Tableau.
Experience designing dashboards for operational monitoring, trend analysis and executive reporting.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain analytical findings and visualisation design decisions.
Analytical mindset with attention to data quality, consistency and interpretability.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience collaborating with users to refine analytical questions and resolve data or visualisation challenges through investigation and iterative improvement.
Power BI experience for dashboard development or cross-platform visualisation environments.
Tableau or other visualisation certification.
Background in data visualisation best practices, UX/UI principles or visual analytics design.
Experience automating analytics workflows and data preparation using Python.
Experience with API‑based data ingestion and integration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Optional experience with containerised environments (e.g., Docker).
Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as GitLab, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of open‑source analytics and visualisation ecosystems.
The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 – $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
