Overview ARSIEM Corporation provides technical solutions to multiple U.S. government agencies. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join a diverse team that delivers end-to-end software, systems, and network engineering services for Integrated Discovery Operations (IDO). The incumbent will oversee a modern DevOps architecture and support the mission while improving availability, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities
Design, maintain, and support operations and maintenance activities of a large enclave comprising hardware, software, and network components, including server architecture, virtual machines, managed switches, NAS, VLANs, and VPNs.
Develop and implement strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture and technology with minimal impact.
Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Network administration including installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices; configuring various routing protocols, troubleshooting multi-hop connectivity, throughput, and latency; setting up firewalls.
Responsible for secure infrastructure and vulnerability corrections, data security, compliance, and backups and recovery.
Maintain SSPs, STS requirements via RMF, Netseer, SEAR logging, patching, IAVMs, McAfee, and UAM.
Provide user-level support, including interacting with system-savvy developers and analysts, resolving network, computer, and virtual system issues and anomalies.
Maintain enclave documentation (network diagram, system names, IP addresses, barcodes, etc.); provide monthly activity reports to include system outages.
Experience deploying and maintaining nginx; system monitoring platforms like OpenVAS, Prometheus, and Grafana; SELinux and FIPS.
Knowledge of LatteArt/Biscotti, Netseer, SEAR logging.
Bachelor’s degree plus 11‑years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Docker, MongoDB, and Elastic Search; Ansible and GitLab; RedHat Satellite.
Working knowledge of software‑defined networks.
Pay $177,000 – $198,000 a year.
