We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager who can drive/lead End-to-End material flow, planning discipline, S&OE and S&OP, delivery performance and inventory control in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
This role is not only about managing supply chain activities. It is about setting the operating cadence that connects customer demand, supply, capacity, inventory, supplier performance and execution priorities into one aligned plan
The Senior Supply Chain Manager is the plant process owner for S&OE / S&OP and a key partner to Plant Management, Operations, Customer Service, Procurement, Logistics, Finance and Program Management
Role mission
Lead the plant Supply Chain end-to-end, from raw materials to customer delivery. Ensure production planning, customer service, and inventory control, while protecting cash in a volatile demand environment.
Main responsibilities1. End-to-End Supply Chain
- Manage full material flow: RAW, WIP, FG, internal and external flows
- Ensure alignment between demand, supply, and production planning
- Maintain reliable SAP/ERP planning data and processes
2. S&OE / S&OP Cadence
- Lead daily execution to secure production and deliveries
- Align weekly 12–16 week plan (demand, capacity, materials, risks)
- Contribute to monthly 12-month S&OP planning
- Use scenario planning for fast, fact-based decisions
3. Customer Service & Delivery
- Improve On-Time Delivery (OTD) and reduce backlog/past due
- Align production and shipments with customer priorities
- Communicate risks and recovery plans clearly
- Lead escalation meetings when needed
4. Inventory & Cash Control
- Manage inventory levels (RAW, WIP, FG) and Days on Hand
- Identify excess, slow-moving, or abnormal stock
- Ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counts
- Align stock with customer demand and shipment plans
5. Suppliers & Logistics
- Monitor supplier performance (OTIF), shortages, and risks
- Work with Procurement and Logistics to secure materials
- Control transport costs while meeting delivery commitments
6. Performance & Daily Management
- Lead daily and weekly performance reviews
- Track KPIs: production, shortages, deliveries
- Turn issues into clear action plans with owners and deadlines
7. Continuous Improvement
- Drive P3 standards (People, Process, Technology)
- Improve processes, eliminate waste, support Lean initiatives
- Implement best practices and measurable KPIs
8. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the supply chain team
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Procurement, Finance, etc.
- Support product launches and transitions
- OTD / OTIF (customers & suppliers)
- Backlog and past due
- Inventory value, DOH, accuracy
- Forecast accuracy
- Production adherence
- Material availability and shortages
- Logistics and expedite costs
- Strong S&OE / S&OP rhythm connecting demand and supply

What you bring
•Proven experience leading plant-level supply chain operations in automotive, manufacturing complex industrial environment
•Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, including demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, material planning, inventory management, logistics and customer delivery.
•Hands-on experience leading S&OE / S&OP routines, Daily Management, escalation processes and cross-functional performance reviews.
•Strong ERP / SAP planning knowledge and ability to use data, KPIs and structured action plans to drive decisions
•Demonstrated experience in Lean transformation, waste elimination, pull systems, lead time reduction and continuous improvement
•Ability to operate under pressure, bring clarity during escalations and align stakeholders around facts, priorities and actions
•Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills, ability to develop teams and influence in a matrix organization
•Experience supporting product launches, phase-outs or major demand / capacity changes is a plus
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field; Master's degree preferred
•German native or bi-lingual | Fluent English | Any another European language is a plus
•Strong Excel capability; experience with BI tools, ERP systems and emerging supply chain technologies is a plus
•Lean / Six Sigma certification and APICS certification are a plus
