IT Project Manager
Huntington University has an opening for an IT Project Manager. The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also collaborate with team members to define a project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Qualifications
Formal Education & Certification University or college degree in a field relevant to this role. Certification(s) in project management, preferred. Knowledge & Experience Minimum five years' direct work experience in project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. Strong familiarity with project management software. Familiarity with Teamwork, preferred. Experience with large data system migrations. Demonstrated experience in personnel management. Technically competent with various software programs, such as various Microsoft tools, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated understanding of Christian higher education, preferred. Personal Attributes Must have a strong personal Christian commitment and faith in Jesus Christ along with a desire to serve others. Must be committed to the mission of Huntington University as a comprehensive Christian College dedicated to educating men and women to impact our world for Christ. Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Flexible during times of change. Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, colleagues, other departments, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ability to defuse tension among project teams, should it arise. Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Positive interpersonal skills and a team player. Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks is crucial. Commitment to continuous process improvement. General Information:
