Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits Estimating time involved in assuring each product’s qualityAnalysis of requirements, preparing a query list based on those requirements Writing and reviewing testing plans Communicating with other departments such as project management and engineering to coordinate scheduling for QA testing Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements Tests software to detect bugs and errors. Checks whether a product complies with the requirements. A detective who knows where the bugs can hide, even where no one expects them to. Tests the system using attention, deduction, and sometimes special software Takes full responsibility for the project’s success (or fail). Prepares test strategy, defines the scope of work for other members, controls test execution DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS Excellent test case creation - Able to create test scenarios based on prioritization; can do integration test case; knows what type of test case to create based on requirements Should be able to execute test with or without given instruction Bug reporting - Able to report found defects in a clear, concise, and complete manner and can distinguish bug's severity and priority Knows how to replicate client's issues and assess what needs to be done Should be able to follow QA Process Defines instructions and establishes guidelines and standards No supervision needed in technical aspect SQL knowledge for Backend Testing Has experience using different bug tracking tools such as TFS, JIRA, Unfuddle, Liquid Planner, Bugzilla, etc. Can apply agile QA Testing process Familiar with the automation tools such as Selenium, Telerik Test Studio, ReadyAPI, etc. Creates test strategies if needed Should be able to send a test report that is clear for clients and managers Mentors the team Acts as technical lead Interviews Software QA Engineer applicants Researches for new technologies/approaches to improve process Creates necessary documentations OTHER REQUIREMENTS 5+ years software quality assurance experience
