We are looking for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
Working Hours:
Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm Week 2: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pmThere is also an on-call rota.
Salary: £38,000+ per annum, plus a company vehicle and excellent benefits package.
The Role
This role covers multiple school sites across Birmingham, along with a range of community properties providing healthcare services. You will be responsible for ensuring all sites remain safe, compliant, and fully operational by delivering both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, fault-find and repair mechanical systems, plant and equipment in accordance with current legislation, standards and procedures. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across mechanical building services, including HVAC, boilers, pumps, heating, ventilation and water systems. Undertake minor mechanical installations, upgrades and adaptation works. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests to minimise disruption and ensure service delivery. Resolve mechanical faults and plant defects efficiently, maintaining safe and reliable operation. Identify and specify required spare parts, providing accurate parts lists and estimated repair times.
