Position Overview
Seeking an experienced construction Inspector with MEP for projects in the Syracuse area. Our client for this role is NYS Office of General Services (OGS) OGS has multiple ongoing projects in the Syracuse region with more on the horizon.
Responsibilities
Job Duties
• Provide construction inspection for multi trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements.
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project and coordinate with Regional Code Officer.
• Ensuring that timely decisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs.
• Perform inspections, prepare construction reports, run project meetings and expedite the execution of contracts.
• Maintain a written daily report of project progress, activities performed, contractor's workforce, materials approvals and deliveries and issues on the job site.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, conduct meetings and communicate with team members in various roles as necessary.
• Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager as needed.
• Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum (6) years of experience as a Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building projects with MEP focus.
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades.
• Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

- Compensation range Min: $40/hr to Max: $45/hr
- The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate's qualifications and location
