Key Responsibilities Key Duties and Responsibilities Project Delivery Plan, schedule and deliver assigned ICT projects from initiation through to closure using appropriate methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile / Scrum / Kanban as fit-for-purpose).
Develop and maintain core project artefacts: business cases, Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), project plans, RAID logs, status reports and benefits realisation plans.
Manage project budgets, forecasts and resource plans, track expenditure against approved budget and report variances.
Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, cutover and go-live activities; ensure formal handover to BAU support.
Translate business and clinical requirements into clear, actionable specifications with measurable acceptance criteria.
Risk, Governance & Compliance Identify, log and actively manage project risks, dependencies and issues, escalating in a timely manner to the Head of ICT Projects and project boards.
Ensure all project deliverables comply with internal change-management, information-governance and security policies.
Support audit and assurance activities for ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR and the EU NIS2 Directive, in line with the HSE Cyber Security Framework.
Embed Data Protection by Design and clinical-safety considerations (DCB0129/0160-equivalent) into project deliverables where relevant.
Prepare and present project documentation to ICT Steering Committee, programme boards and executive management.
Technical Coordination Coordinate technical workstreams across infrastructure, application, integration and security teams.
Liaise with Cloud and Solution Architects on Azure (and where applicable AWS / GCP) service selection, sizing and cost optimisation.
Oversee vendor technical delivery, ensuring solutions meet SVUH architectural standards, interoperability requirements (HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT, DICOM where applicable) and security baselines.
Track technical debt, integration gaps and platform reliability metrics, drive remediation actions to closure.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on assigned projects; build and maintain strong working relationships across clinical, operational and corporate functions.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Produce executive-ready status reports, risk summaries and steering committee packs.
Manage vendor and third-party engagements (e.g.
Microsoft, Managed Service Providers, clinical system vendors), including contract performance and SLA monitoring.
Maintain documentation standards in Confluence, SharePoint or equivalent.
Provide flexible support outside the strict boundaries of the role where required
- e.g.
assisting in issue resolution, testing or go-live activities
- and any other duties as assigned.
