Laundry Assistant - causeway

We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team within a well-established care home for elderly residents in Coleraine.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 2:00pm

Pay: £13 per hour

Contract: Minimum 6-month assignment with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis

Key Duties:

● Washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents' clothing and bedding

● Ensuring all laundry is labelled, sorted, and returned to the correct residents

● Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the laundry area

● Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently

● Following infection prevention and health & safety procedures

● Assisting with general housekeeping duties as required

What We Need From You

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or care home experience is desirable but not essential
• Reliable, hardworking, and organised
•  Good attention to detail
•  Able to work independently and as part of a team
•  Compassionate and respectful when working in a care environment
