We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our San Diego operation and help drive the next phase of growth.
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, fleet management, employee development, safety compliance, and overall operational performance. This individual will lead approximately 40 warehouse employees while driving efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the operation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 40 warehouse employees.
- Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and retain warehouse personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee accountability and development.
- Oversee receiving, shipping, inventory control, order fulfillment, and customer pickup operations.
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process improvements.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management, reporting, and operational analysis.
- Manage company fleet, forklifts, trucks, and warehouse equipment.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Promote and enforce OSHA compliance and workplace safety standards.
- Lead safety meetings and facility inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- 7+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or operations leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading warehouse or distribution teams of 20+ employees; experience managing teams of 30-40+ employees strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing employee performance, accountability, hiring, training, and retention within a large-team environment.
- Strong experience with inventory control and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience managing warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Fleet management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.
- Forklift operating experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and related business software.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Guaranteed $110,000 total compensation during Years 1 and 2.
