Overview CommandIQ® (CIQ) is an emerging product line established in 2025, backed by significant investment from RMS senior leadership. We develop battle‑management and command & control capabilities for a complete mission suite, providing an open‑architecture platform and customizable mission apps that integrate across tools into a single CommandIQ® Common Operating Picture (COP). The initial baseline is already generating strong domestic and international customer interest.
The Work CommandIQ® seeks a software engineer to join an agile development team. In this role, you will:
Decompose higher‑level roadmap features into actionable work items
Design, implement, and integrate/test software features
Conduct peer reviews and debug issues as they arise
Participate in technical discussions to define and solve overarching software architecture needs
Collaborate with cross‑functional peers to understand project requirements and customer/stakeholder needs
Location & Remote Work Preferred candidates are local to Colorado Springs, CO or King of Prussia, PA. Strong candidates who meet the roles and responsibilities may be considered for a fully‑remote schedule. The exact weekly work arrangement will be discussed during the hiring process.
Security Clearance This position requires a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
Frontend framework development experience using Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
Experience using REST APIs and Docker
Experience with UI/UX design and iteration tools (Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, Axure)
Experience performing verification‑level testing on UI/UX components and applications using recognized UI/UX Test Frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Jest)
Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
5+ years of relevant work experience (an advanced degree may substitute for 2 additional years)
Desired Skills
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
Experience leading software teams through technical planning and mentoring junior engineers
Full‑stack engineering experience
Container management with Kubernetes/Helm
Experience with GitLab CI/CD, gRPC, Python, or Flask
Previous IRAD experience
Active Secret clearance
Compensation & Benefits Salary: The annual base salary range for this position is $113,900 – $200,905 (state‑specific ranges apply). Salary determination considers scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market factors.
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short‑Term Disability, Long‑Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, Employee Assistance Program, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid Time Off, and Holidays. Washington state applicants receive at least 10 hours of Paid Time Off per month and 90 holiday hours (or equivalent for represented employees).
Shift First Shift: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
