Role Overview

The scope of work includes managing internal development teams and adhere to agile ceremonies and continuous improvement. The duties may also include small scale projects that involve cross functional and external vendor work. The successful candidate will have a deep sense of curiosity, team building and emotional intelligence but also be a strong, concise communicator and be able to remove roadblocks for the team. It is critical that this person be able to consume information and understand business/technology impacts and be able to plan mitigation for issues to ensure that the teams needs are being met, and we are maturing our teams. In this role, it is critical to be able to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment, act as a leader for the teams and know when to escalate issues for support.

You demonstrate leadership by supporting the growth and development of your team as a whole and individually. Goal setting is as integral to lululemon as yoga, and you facilitate your teams participation in our Vision & Goals program. This is not about your performance. This is about defining what is authentically important for you and your team and then setting out to make it happen. Our team is tight knit with strong personalities. We are looking for someone to join our team as a cultural add, able to work with different types of people and be able to navigate the landscape between our business, product and technical teams.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of complex programs and strategic initiatives, including implementation plans and business requirements, project delivery, and go-live and sustainment efforts
  • Work closely with the lead engineer and architect to filter business requirements to workable stories for the development team
  • Full cycle agile methodology with sprint reviews, updates and recommendations to improve
  • Leverage understanding of current state people, process and technology capabilities, knowledge of industry best practices and critical problems solving skills to identify business needs and define new and improved ways of working to develop packaging and labelling
  • Drive cohesion across program work streams through coordinating efforts of project managers, change and training leads, product management, technology partners, subject matter experts, super users, project sponsors and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate and lead workshops, and deliver updates to cross functional partners and leadership
  • Lead and oversee the planning, implementation and adoption of new and transformative logistics processes, including tracking and delegation of documentation of current-state processes, design, implementation and ongoing operation of new processes, development of tools to monitor effectiveness of new processes, and support in establishing connectivity across current and new processes to deliver operating model transformation
  • Deliver regular program updates to cross-functional partners and leaders
  • Create an environment where people can perform at their best, grow through continual development and achieve outstanding results
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and drive to alignment with business partners within constraints of the project or work.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements

BBA, Bcomm, Diploma in Business or related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, strategy, operations or related professional industry experience

Proven ability to coach, mentor and teach junior team members

Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs, mastery in Excel

Mastery in project management tools and software, Smartsheet preferred

Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of complex, multi-stream programs and projects, including preparation of project charters, delivery plans and status updates, facilitation of workshops and cross functional meetings and coordination of change and training efforts

Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously

Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to present to Senior Leadership

Ability to lead and influence cross-functional partners, subject matter experts, business users and technology partners to solve complex business problems

Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple cross functional teams. Ability to create alignment and reach consensus

Ability to clearly communicate objectives and give clear direction to achieve deliverables

Ability to understand financial impacts on long range plans and make financially sound recommendations to leadership

Demonstrated ability in operational problem solving and long-range planning and problem solving
