Develops daily, weekly, and ad hoc sales and marketing data as requested for business initiative planning and performance tracking. Develops, monitors, and maintains sales production data and provides analysis to trend and track engagement of EquiTrust's distribution channels across various communication mediums. Compiles, tracks, and maintains sales production data for trend analysis, performance tracking, and development of business initiatives. Serves as a data steward for sales and marketing data. Works closely with the data warehouse team to ensure data utilized for reporting, metrics, and forecasting captures applicable numbers and analytics. Monitors performance indicators, highlights trends, analyzes causes of unexpected variances, and provides summary data and recommendations in a useable and effective format. Identifies and implements solutions in areas that require support to increase their efficiency and in documenting processes, to assist the Sales and Marketing Department in meeting their established goals and objectives. Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary to support the organization. Prepares and presents reports to management illustrating trends, patterns, and predictions sales and marketing efforts that are simple to use and understand. Reports analysis and data to stakeholders of the Sales and Marketing departments. Uses a variety of techniques such as data aggregation, statistical analysis, and complex data modeling to interpret and present results. Designs, develops and implements enterprise-wide analysis and reporting solutions. Reviews and analyzes data from multiple internal and external sources. Supports the Sales and Marketing team and/or other departments on an as-needed basis. Willingly takes on additional responsibilities as requested in order to accomplish department and Company objectives.
What You'll Bring: Education:
A High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required. A Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a related field preferred (e.g. Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science).
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree: A minimum of 3 years of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems required. Working with large data sets and relational databases. Associate degree: A minimum of 5 years of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems required. Working with large data sets and relational databases. High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of 7 years of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems required. Working with large data sets and relational databases. A minimum of 3 years of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems within the independent (non-captive) agent/marketing organization distribution model.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to analyze and synthesize large data sets into useable metrics which allows for better and more informed decision making. Advanced understanding of data analysis tools and databases. Exceptional mathematical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with an elevated level of attention to detail. Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Advanced problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize, establish and meet deadlines. Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and respond to change in a positive manner. Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems and programs including Microsoft Office, proprietary systems, and other technology solutions, such as Salesforce. Advanced skillset in analytical methods, including advanced Excel, Power BI, and other tools. Ability to comprehend integration and interdependency of data and information systems and sources. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including a high degree of professionalism. West Des Moines, IA Expected Travel: Infrequent travel (less than 5% of the time).
