Plant Engineering Leader

Location(s): Fairburn, GA, US

The Technical Leader (Plant Engineering Leader) is responsible for providing all aspects of technical leadership to the Plant. The position reports to the Plant Leader and is a member of the plant leadership team. There is also a functional reporting relationship to the ISB Technical Leader in Granville, OH. The Technical Leader has 7-15 direct reports depending on plant size including: Manufacturing Engineers for each operating line, batch, furnace and binder areas, Quality/CI Engineer(s), Packaging and Process Engineer(s) and participants in early career development programs.

Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline

A minimum of 5 years progressive technical experience in a manufacturing environment, fiberglass process experience preferred

A minimum of two years experience leading people

Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing experience

Knowledge and Skills:

Computer skills: The ability to utilize Owens Corning systems and the software necessary for this role

Utilizing data and data collection systems, and Six Sigma methods for problem-solving and decision-making to eliminate manufacturing losses and unnecessary costs
