À propos

The Strategic Insights & Business Analyst acts as a core internal consultant and data storyteller for the North American executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the EVP of Randstad NA (Dawn McAuliffe) and the CFO of Randstad NA (Penny Palmer), this individual will bridge the gap between complex data sets and high-level business strategy.
The primary objective of this role is to analyze internal performance data alongside external macroeconomic, labor market, and competitor trends. Rather than simply generating reports, this professional will possess the business curiosity and analytical acumen to answer "why" things are happening and model "what could happen next." The insights delivered by this individual will directly shape executive decision‑making, margin management, and market growth strategies across Randstad North America.
Responsibilities
Data Integration and Macro-economic Analysis
Synthesize large volumes of internal financial, operational, and performance data with external market indicators (e.g., Bureau of Labor Statistics, economic indices, labor market analytics, and competitor reports). Identify, track, and monitor external market trends and disruptors to evaluate their potential impact on Randstad’s business units.
Build holistic data views that blend disparate datasets into coherent, strategic overviews for the executive team.
Executive Presentation & Storytelling
Conceptualize and build dynamic dashboards, data visualizations, and executive-level presentations that clearly articulate data stories to the EVP and CFO.
Translate highly technical findings into concise, non‑technical strategic summaries for the C‑suite and broader executive leadership.
Participate in strategic brief sessions, offering an objective, data‑backed point of view on business trajectory.
Special Projects and Ad‑Hoc Analysis
Execute rapid‑response data analysis for urgent business questions posed by Randstad Leadership. Continuous learning and benchmarking of new analytical methodologies, external data streams, and economic forecasting too.
Background
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical business experience) is required.
Work Experience
Years of experience are secondary to capability. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of using data to drive tangible business conclusions.
Prior experience in corporate FP&A, business intelligence, market research, or management consulting is highly preferred.
Experience navigating, cleaning, and blending messy or disparate internal and external datasets.
Experience presenting data findings directly to senior or executive leadership is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Innate Business Curiosity: A relentless desire to ask "why," dig beneath the surface of a metric, and deeply understand business levers and outcomes.
Analytical & Focused Mindset: Strong capability to cut through the noise of massive datasets and hone in on the metrics that truly impact profitability and growth.
Macroeconomic Literacy: Comfortable interpreting economic indicators, labor market reports, and industry trends, and mapping them to internal corporate data.
This job posting is open for 4 weeks.
