Duties Total Rewards of an Allied Health Professional Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide full-range nursing care assistance for Veterans with physical or behavioral health needs in varied clinical settings. Perform ADLs including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, mobility support, and promoting independence. Observe and report subtle changes in condition such as mood, behavior, skin color, or appetite. Obtain glucose readings, monitor intake and output, and report abnormal findings promptly. Assist with group activities and support treatment plans that promote recovery and autonomy. Recognize and react to emergencies, initiate basic life support, and request assistance as needed. Serve as a preceptor/mentor to new NAs and assist with unit orientation.
Work Schedule: This is an intermittent position. Intermittent employment is defined as non-fulltime employment in which employees serve under an excepted or competitive service appointment without a regularly scheduled tour of duty. A position with an intermittent work schedule is sporadic and unpredictable so that a tour of duty cannot be regularly scheduled in advance.
