IT Sr. Business Analyst Our IT Business Analyst is a very valuable part of our team. This position is responsible for leading activities in planning, gathering, defining, analyzing, categorizing and documenting requirements for work process automation, continuous improvement programs, new functionality and enhancements to existing systems in support of multiple business process workstreams. Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading activities in planning, gathering, defining, analyzing, categorizing and documenting business, user and functional requirements for work process automation, continuous improvement programs, new functionality and enhancements to existing systems Provide second level support for application and information related requests supporting manufacturing and general business processes Models current and future state of business systems and processes to identify and analyze gaps, redundancies and problem areas. Advises project managers on feasibility of enhancements and recommends solutions and process automation improvements Facilitates requirements gathering sessions. Converts business requirements into appropriate system development lifecycle documents that meet corporate documentation standards and techniques Develops test plans and coordinates identification, development and documentation of test cases. Ensures there is traceability of test plans and test cases back to requirements and design specifications Coordinates execution of test scripts; prioritizes, monitors and reports on status of problems to project team; and ensures problems are resolved in a timely manner. May coach and lead testers in the development and/or execution of test scripts Creates requirements plan and provides estimation of work for requirements analysis and documentation, testing, quality assurance and other responsibilities assigned as a Business Analyst Participates in or facilitates project meetings, feasibility studies, and prioritization of technology service requests and initiatives with business partners Advises and supports business in preparation of procedural documentation based on systems Identifies requirements risks, project risks and critical issues and conducts analysis to resolve or provide recommendation for resolution Executes project activities within the project management delivery workflow from project submission, through initiation, planning, execution, training, post-implementation support and project closeout. Liaises with internal and external business partners throughout the project Uses statistical methods and data mining techniques to analyze data and generate business trends and efficiency with master data sets. Education and Experience Required:
Bachelors’ degree in Information Management, MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field Previous experience with HRIS systems/tools (e.g. Kronos, SaaS HRIS) Previous experience with Manufacturing Shop Floor Systems Previous experience in Application Integration frameworks SQL database experience 7+ years’ business analysis experience
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Previous experience with Microsoft Productivity Tools (e.g. SharePoint) Previous experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or Food Manufacturing environments Project Management experience Previous experience with project best practices (ITIL, Agile) Previous experience with report writing in business intelligence tools (e.g.
