Position Summary This is a Hybrid role in Austin, Texas. The purpose of this position is to provide a System Engineering function to develop, deploy, support and operate cloud‑based platforms using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Cassandra, Datadog, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, among others. The candidate will possess and demonstrate the ability to solve complex technical issues, investigate issues requiring understanding of the whole solution including different systems and technologies, correlate information from logs and metrics. It also includes security aspects like encryption, keys and APDU management for platforms running on multiple technologies and software systems.
The candidate should also have extensive understanding of CI/CD pipeline definition and automation for building, validating and deploying the platform, and be able to work on a DevOps / CI/CD model with our internal teams and customers. Strong knowledge and experience on Datadog or ELK is also required to handle logging management and support for the customer, provide improvement and upgrades for future deployment and current production support.
Regulatory Compliance Requirements CFIUS clearance. Must be able to obtain post‑hire clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and Department of Treasury.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Member of Cloud OTA Deployment team
Define, architect, collect requirements, search for industry best practices, propose solutions to peers for review, formalize output in documentation, and deploy high availability solutions using Cloud Technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Docker, Datadog/ELK utilizing active/active architectures.
Define, develop and maintain deployment and operation scripts and tools for deployment automation.
Participate in maintenance window activities for hosted, on‑premise cloud platform changes.
Responsible for solution platform deployment, installation, patching, and third‑party software upgrades on internal and external customer platforms.
Maintain solution and database monitoring solutions.
Define, architect solutions for Cassandra database high availability using replication technology in active architectures across multiple sites (collecting customer needs and product needs, providing recommendations for project based on volume and level of availability required).
Define, architect solutions for Scala/Spark programs for data extraction and reporting based high availability solutions (understanding database design, data available, required output, volume of data to implement best approach).
Participate in technical design review and strategic decision making (provide feedback and input to peers to ensure the best design is implemented).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in field with a minimum of 5‑8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Expert level experience in cloud database deployment, management and migration.
2+ years of Cassandra / MySQL database administration.
1+ year of Datadog or ELK usage.
Very good knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle.
Proactive, team player, and leadership qualities with strong technical background.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Managing high SLA environments.
Autonomous on Cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Datadog/ELK, Cassandra, AWS.
Autonomous on Pipeline automation with GitLab.
Autonomous on Ansible, Terraform deployment scripts and automation.
Physical Demands This position requires decision‑making capabilities at an advanced level to assist the consultant role for other teams, and the ability to provide technical expertise surrounding various database technology topics.
Special Position Requirements Candidate will need to be able to multitask and quickly switch if needed to emergency situations on production platforms, manage tight deadlines, have visibility on project delivery goals, and communicate effectively to project teams and management. The candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced work environment and will be required to be available to work during nights and weekends when the situation requires it.

Compensation The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) 109,653.00 - 182,755.00 USD Annual.
