IT Systems Administrator – Millennium Space Systems Company Millennium Space Systems (MSS), part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Position Overview As an On‑Site IT Systems Administrator at our El Segundo, CA office, you will responsibly maintain, configure, update, and integrate secure enterprise and air‑gapped systems across multiple operating systems, software applications, and hardware. You will support TierII and below incidents, respond to tickets, and collaborate with peers to ensure compliance with security policies. Primary Responsibilities Provide TierII and below support for system installation, configuration, upgrades, and updates on secure networks. Maintain documentation for system operations, changes, and procedures. Provide technical support and interact with customers in person, by email, or ticket response. Escalate tickets, tasks, and problems as required. Monitor systems and resolve issues proactively to prevent costly downtime. Perform other assigned duties. Basic Qualifications Ability to obtain Security+ or equivalent security certifications. IAT Level2 certifications per DoD Instruction8570 (8140). Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows Server2016+ and Windows10+ desktops. Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, and managing virtual machines. Experience administering RedHatLinux systems, including RPM packaging, performance tuning, networking, user management, and security. Active U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in complex infrastructure and software development systems administration. Experience maintaining and configuring Active Directory (AD). Experience executing DoD STIGs for Windows10 and WindowsServer2016+. Experience with multiple Linux distributions. Familiarity with Cisco, PaloAlto, and Juniper switches and firewalls. Experience with VEEAM Backup Suite or Power Protect Data Manager. Proficiency integrating Windows and Linux environments. Ability to create technical documentation for end‑user training. Experience with DNS, Group Policies, Print Management. Experience troubleshooting, updating, and upgrading Microsoft Office applications. Experience with backup and recovery procedures. Additional Information Occasional travel may be required. Must satisfy the company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process. Pay ranges: Level3$102,850–$151,250; Level4$128,350–$173,650. Relocation assistance is not provided. Security Clearance & Eligibility Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. The position requires an active U.S. TopSecret/SCI Security Clearance.
