À propos
Lead integration scoping conversations - working with merchant technical teams on API connectivity, platform dependencies, implementation planning, and third-party integration requirements
Be a reliable, trusted technical partner to US-based AEs across the full product suite
Run structured technical discovery that gets to the real constraints and objectives before any solution is proposed
Scope and support proof of concept and pilot engagements where needed
Contribute to internal enablement - helping document and evolve technical positioning as Swap's product portfolio grows
Feed what you're hearing in the field back to product, marketing, and GTM teams - your perspective from customer conversations is genuinely valued here
Requirements 5-7 years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or sales engineering role at a B2B SaaS company
Genuine hands-on technical depth, comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture; able to engage meaningfully with merchant engineering teams on implementation questions. Prior experience with JavaScript, Python, or similar is a strong signal
Familiarity with the e-commerce ecosystem - you understand how online retailers think, who the stakeholders are, and what drives their decisions. Experience in e-commerce SaaS (platforms, CX, marketing tech, or adjacent) is valued
AI fluency in practice - you already use AI tools to accelerate your own work, you're genuinely curious about agentic products, and you can engage credibly in technical conversations about AI-powered systems
High autonomy - you're comfortable operating without a playbook, navigating ambiguity, and figuring out what needs to happen next
Strong discovery instincts - you ask the right questions before reaching for a solution, and you listen carefully to the answers
Adaptability - you can hold context across multiple products and buyer profiles and stay effective across all of them
Nice to have: Direct experience selling or supporting AI or agentic products
Background in a high-growth or scale-up environment where the scope was broader than the job title suggested
Exposure to post-purchase, fulfilment, or logistics technology
Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (MEDDPICC or similar)
What This Role Is Not We think it's worth being honest about a few things: Not a demo-led role.
Demos sit primarily with the AEs at Swap. Your value is in technical depth, discovery quality, and the trust you build with prospects
Not a logistics specialist role.
You'll learn enough to hold credible conversations, and you'll have SME support behind you but deep domain expertise in logistics isn't what we're hiring for
Not a large-team role yet.
You'll be the SE on the ground in the US, and that requires someone who's energised by ownership rather than looking for a lot of structure around them
Benefits: Competitive base salary
Stock options in a high-growth startup
