Engineering Manager

Bring your technical expertise and people-first leadership style to the role of Engineering Manager, where you'll serve as the hands-on operational leader of our engineering team. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and Area Director of Engineering, you'll keep our property running beautifully supervising daily maintenance operations, coordinating vendors and projects, and rolling up your sleeves alongside your team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Directly supervise, schedule, and support engineering and maintenance associates in their day-to-day responsibilities, fostering a culture of accountability and craftsmanship.

Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, spa and pool utilities, and carpentry ensuring optimal functionality and safety compliance.

Manage work orders, lead preventive maintenance efforts, and conduct regular property walk-throughs to proactively identify and address maintenance needs.

Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and project work; assist the Chief Engineer with budget tracking, scheduling, and project execution.

Ensure adherence to all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards; maintain accurate maintenance logs and compliance documentation.

Qualifications include at least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in the engineering department of a hotel, resort, or closely related industry. Demonstrated hands-on technical proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, spa and pool utilities, and/or carpentry is required. Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment is necessary. Experience coordinating vendors and contractors, and comfort with administrative tasks including work order management, maintenance logs, and basic budget tracking is also required. Working knowledge of state and federal health and safety regulations applicable to hotel and resort operations is essential.
