Job Overview The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a skilled Salesforce developer to join our Application Development Team. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable and secure applications on the Salesforce platform.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions.
Ensure adherence to best practices in architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and development processes.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
Manage multiple priorities efficiently while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Lead and support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including unit testing, system integration, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry trends; proactively recommend enhancements and improvements.
Collaborate with administrators, analysts, and other developers to ensure seamless integration with other systems and platforms.
Qualifications 60 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 months of work experience in the primary technology (Salesforce) as specified. Alternatively:
Completion of associate degree in computer science or information systems; 42 months combined work experience.
Completion of undergraduate degree in computer science or information systems; 36 months combined work experience.
Equivalent work experience sufficient to meet the minimum class qualifications.
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Proficiency in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components).
Experience with application design and software implementation.
Strong customer focus, innovation, and strategic thinking.
Supplemental Information The Ohio Department of Medicaid does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.
On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; may be required to carry a cellular phone; may be required to work occasional overtime.
Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation or hold a valid driver's license.
