Summary Account Management & Business Development for automotive aftermarket customers within assigned territory.
Essential Duties
Identify, cultivate, and manage Automotive Aftermarket sales accounts
Generate sales of new product categories and meet the determined sales objectives and/or goals
Contribute to new business account(s) and product development efforts
Work within a sales budget to maintain and exceed operating goals
Seek balance between revenue growth and profitability while also reporting on national sales activities
Analysis of customer data, market trend(s), opportunity pipeline and benchmarking competitors
Provide technical assistance and support to customers regarding specific applications and/or issues with company products
Responsible for managing relationships and collaboration with independent sales representatives
Attend trade shows, seminars, and training sessions to keep informed of current trends in the Automotive Aftermarket and competitive products and activities
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, standards, and government regulations
Maintain a high level of inter‑departmental communication in order to achieve sales goals and ability to provide track record of sales
Visit customers to obtain feedback for analytical purposes
Oversee and manage new accounts, and maintain customer database
Resolve order and inventory problems by investigating data and history, identifying alternate means for filling orders, and notifying managers and customers
Resolve promotional allowance, rebate, and pricing discrepancies by researching promotion details and regular and special prices, and forwarding resolution to managers
Provide product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer requests, selecting appropriate information, forwarding information, answering questions
Provide sales vs. projection results by preparing and forwarding sales tracking reports
Forward samples by entering request, arranging shipment, notifying customer
Maintain customer database by inputting customer profile and updates, preparing and distributing monthly reports
Prepare sales presentations by compiling data, developing presentation formats and materials
Track sales expenses by tracking, consolidating, analyzing, and summarizing expenses, forwarding for reimbursement
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Ability to travel 50% of the time

Qualifications
Experience, passion and positive attitude to work in Automotive Aftermarket Industry
Understanding the Customer, Customer Focus and being able to work within a team and keep professional at all times
Excellent Communication Skills – Business Writing, E-mail, Verbal and Presentation
Excellent Attention to Detail, Time Management, Organization and Multi-tasking Skills
Ability to connect logical theories/forecasts to the data collected.
Bachelor’s Degree with education focus one of the following: Computer Technology or IT, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Business, International Business, etc.)
5 years of Sales experience, preferably in the Automotive Aftermarket industry or related field
Excellent Computer and Analytical Skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
