Job Overview Global Payments Solutions Data Strategy and Governance (DSG) team at Bank of America is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support specific Merchant Services reporting deliverables, ad‑hoc queries, and strategic technology initiatives. The analyst will partner with Technology, Operations, and Merchant leaders to define data and reporting strategies, become a trusted expert on Merchant data, and drive high‑quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities Define and deliver specific reporting solutions and ad‑hoc queries assigned to the team. Partner with Merchant reporting partners to resolve differences and align metrics across business functions and source systems. Assist with the development of new reporting and the conversion of existing reporting to utilize Merchant Commerce Authorized Data Source (MCMADS) and Merchant Commerce Insight Reporting and Analytics (MIRA) data, incorporating latest AI capabilities. Identify and bring additional data into reporting and analytics solutions as needed. Ensure adoption of Enterprise Data Management policies and standards—including data quality, lineage, controls, and issue management—and maintain the integrity and quality of critical metadata. Provide design input, execution oversight, and testing for technology initiatives. Partner closely with Technology on data strategy, architecture, and governance to align with business objectives and regulatory expectations. Act as a thought leader and trusted expert on Merchant data across technology, operations, risk, and compliance teams. Enable data to support regulatory reporting, analytics, and operational needs with awareness of non‑functional requirements such as accuracy, traceability, and resilience. Required Skills 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis and reporting. Expertise in SQL for complex report coding, data pulls, and data mining. Experience with Python, BI tools (e.g., Tableau), and JIRA is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, work‑intensive environment and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high accuracy. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear graphics and reports for senior leaders. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage cross‑functional team interactions and ensure timely completion of critical work. Desired Skills Experience working in Merchant Services or Financial Services. Hands‑on experience with Enterprise Data Management policies, standards, and controls. Experience with complex data architectures supporting nuanced business processes. Exposure to legacy modernization and data transformation initiatives. Familiarity with data requirements in heavily regulated environments. Bachelor’s degree. Shift and Hours Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Hours per week: 40 Pay and Benefits Pay range: $80,500.00 – $120,200.00 annualized salary, determined based on experience, education, and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligibility: annual discretionary plan award based on individual performance and company success.
