Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements in production activities and manage the plant technical organization. You will manage 2 direct reports (Project Manager and Principal Systems Engineer); plus, project contractors.

Develop and lead plant specific engineering and maintenance strategies and projects to achieve performance goals. Manage all plant technical expense budgets and work with Corporate Engineering to deliver the capital budget.

Compensation: $100,000 - $143,000 + 15% bonus opportunity + 9% 401k + strong benefits.

Location: Modesto, CA. Excellent relocation package

Responsibilities:

  • Develop capital plan with various functions such as Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Finance.
  • Resource Capital Projects with Corporate Engineering $20M-$40M annually.
  • Participate in and lead projects to improve safety, quality, costs, and customer service.
  • Help the plant achieve financial goals.
  • Conduct internal systems audits.
  • Provide Project and Technical support.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or related degree + manufacturing experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in Food/Beverage/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule and during weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement experience is required.
