Assistant Director Of Residential Operations

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Residential Operations to provide leadership and oversight for multiple residential programs supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals with significant medical and behavioral support needs.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring quality service delivery, supporting residential management teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering positive outcomes for residents through effective program administration and staff development.

Position details include:

  • Salary: $71,753.00 annually
  • Bi-weekly pay schedule
  • Flexible work schedule, generally between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Minimum of 15 hours per week spent directly within residential programs alongside staff and residents
  • Participation in an on-call rotation required to provide emergency and operational support as needed

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct supervision and leadership to Residence Managers overseeing multiple residential programs.
  • Supporting the daily operation of community residences to ensure quality care, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to address the medical, behavioral, and support needs of individuals served.
  • Assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and related program goals.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and planning discussions to support resident outcomes.
  • Monitoring program performance and assisting with implementing strategies to improve service quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Supporting recruitment efforts, onboarding initiatives, employee development, and performance management processes.
  • Conducting staff evaluations, providing coaching and guidance, and assisting managers with employee relations matters.
  • Reviewing staffing patterns and scheduling practices to ensure adequate program coverage and continuity of care.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with families, guardians, support coordinators, regulatory agencies, funding sources, and community partners.
