Technology, Engineering, and Design (T.E.D.) InstructorSpring Lake Park High School, located in Spring Lake Park, is part of the Spring Lake Park Schools district serving approximately 6,200 students in the northern Minneapolis–St. Paul area.Position OverviewThe priority of this position is to create conditions within the school that enable students to engage in learning that connects to real‑world experiences and demonstrates 21st‑century skills. The teacher will develop personalized, engaging experiences that foster a sense of belonging, college readiness, and career aspirations.Primary ResponsibilitiesFocus on knowing each student by name, strengths, interests and needs, leading to personalized work and learning experiences.Confident in delivering instruction in Brick and Mortar, Hybrid and Online modes.Approach learning from a student‑centered platform rather than a teacher‑centered perspective.Innovate and blend learning across multiple subject areas, and collaborate with peers in learning communities.Maintain ongoing communication with families to report successes, struggles, and build relationships.Analyze data, set goals, implement new instruction, and adjust practices.PreferencesTechnology and Engineering experience, with emphasis on construction and manufacturing.Experience collaborating with colleagues and creating enthusiasm through science curriculum.Commitment to lifelong learning evidenced by graduate‑level work or earned degree, and participation in professional organization conferences or seminars in science content.QualificationsCandidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and possess highly effective interpersonal skills, the ability to work harmoniously with a wide range of students, families, and staff. Additional qualifications include commitment to equitable education of all students, creative planning and organizational skills, and experience working with and celebrating diverse learners.Licensing RequirementsPreferred: Current Minnesota Secondary Technology and Engineering or Career and Technical Education (CTE), Manufacturing and/or Construction licensure.Salary$53,228–$107,781 per school year (placement determined based on experience and qualifications).How to ApplyThis position will remain open until filled.
