Job Description: Senior Analyst The Retail Services area is seeking an experienced data analyst with demonstrated strengths in managing data processes, analytical support, identifying data gaps, and proposing solutions. The primary responsibilities of this position include SAS coding on Unix/Grid, data validation, as well as optimizing and simplifying processes. Candidate will be involved in business-driven data content validation, and support of business and technical requirements. Working knowledge of SAS on Unix/Grid is a must. The ideal candidate will be comfortable delivering results quickly in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues while working on multiple deliverables. Qualification and skills:
7 plus years of advanced SAS experience (analytics, data management, data profiling and reporting) SQL and database experience Experience working with large volumes of data in the financial services industry Experience with credit card industry is a plus; experience with Anti-Money Laundering or Know Your Customer concepts is a plus Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills; ability to trace data end-to-end; understand mapping of elements; independently track down answers and research data issues across multiple system touch points Determine root cause of issues discovered and propose solutions Superior communication skills (oral and documentation) Experience in data/process optimization and standardization Team player collaborating with technical, business, and offshore teams Experience in MS Office/Excel and SharePoint Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently Quick learner and self-starter
