Quality Manager

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a thriving, family-oriented manufacturing company? This critical role offers an exciting opportunity to lead all quality and continuous improvement efforts across two local plants, located an hour west of Chicago, IL. With 500 non-union employees, two shifts, and $120M in annual sales, theyre looking for a hands-on quality leader that will drive excellence, inspire a team, and make a direct impact on our manufacturing processes.

What youll do:

  • Lead and develop a quality team of up to 10 direct reports across multiple shifts, fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Provide direct support on the production floor, ensuring quality standards are upheld in real time.
  • Oversee quality operations across two manufacturing facilities, maintaining alignment and consistency.
  • Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate directly with customers, serving as the face of quality for our client company.
  • Maintain and advance compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications.
  • Hold teams accountable to quality standards, processes, and improvement goals.

What you bring:

  • A Bachelors degree in engineering, technical, quality or business discipline.
  • At least five years of proven quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in metals fabrication/manufacturing.
  • Expertise in quality systems, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong ability to lead teams, enforce accountability, and support team success.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and their practical application.
  • Experience driving lean manufacturing & continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between two nearby manufacturing locations.
