If youve spent years keeping production lines running, managing trades and contractors, and pushing through capital works in a regulated manufacturing setting this is a step up into ownership of the whole function, not just one plant.
Why This Ones Worth a Conversation Youd be the senior point of accountability for engineering and site services group-wide not one of several managers reporting up through layers Genuine budget and CAPEX authority, not just an input into someone elses sign-off A business thats investing rather than just maintaining expansion and upgrade projects are active, not theoretical Direct line into senior leadership; your reporting shapes decisions rather than sitting in a folder What the Job Actually Involves Running engineering, plant maintenance, and building services across the groups production sites Building out preventive and predictive maintenance so breakdowns stop being the norm Hands-on responsibility for refrigeration, HVAC, boiler plant, compressed air, and electrical infrastructure Taking the lead on energy usage and utilities spend finding savings, not just reporting costs Keeping the sites audit-ready: food safety, H&S, and environmental standards arent a separate workstream, theyre built into how the function runs Holding contractors and suppliers to account RAMS, permits, induction, performance, cost Running capital projects end to end upgrades, new installations, site expansion work Owning the maintenance and engineering budget and reporting performance straight to senior leadership Putting contingency plans in place so a utility or plant failure doesnt become a production crisis Background Were Looking For Trade or engineering qualification Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or similar A solid run of years leading maintenance or engineering xyswxtq within manufacturing, ideally food or another regulated production environment Comfortable running more than one site, or ready to step into that if youve led a single large operation Working knowledge of food safety and compliance frameworks (BRCGS/HACCP or equivalent) Confident managing budgets, not just operating within one someone else sets CMMS literate PEMAC, SAP PM, or similar systems A safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH) is a plus, not a must The Package €80,000€100,000 base, set against your experience A role with real scope multiple sites and a capital programme to shape Joining a business thats growing, with the investment to back it up All enquiries handled in confidence.
