On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a Senior COBOL Developer for a 3 Months contract based in Dubin (Hybrid) .
Purpose of the role: To develop and maintain robust COBOL-based applications supporting Deloitte's legacy systems.
To ensure system stability, performance, and seamless integration with modern platforms.
To contribute to critical business operations through reliable mainframe solutions.
What you'll do: Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications across mainframe systems Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in legacy applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations and upgrades Perform testing, documentation, and optimisation to ensure system performance and stability The skills you'll need: Strong experience in COBOL development within mainframe environments (e.g., IBM z/OS) Hands-on knowledge of JCL, DB2, VSAM, and batch/online processing Solid understanding xyswxtq of legacy system architecture and integration approaches Proven troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and work collaboratively in teams Next steps If you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.
