Reporting to the Projects & Engineering Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering complex engineering projects to a diverse customer base.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal departments including engineering, quality, and production, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, technical process solutions.
The role focuses on planning, organising, and executing projects to meet safety, time, cost, and performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of project, process, and mechanical engineers.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships.
Oversee all phases of projects, including design, procurement, construction, and testing.
Drive internal teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and quality standards.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to meet project and customer requirements.
Maintain strong commercial awareness when making project decisions.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Review and interpret client specifications, including scope of supply and commercial terms.
Manage and review P&IDs and oversee change control processes.
Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, procurement documentation, and handover packs.
Approve purchase requisitions for project equipment and components.
Conduct design reviews with clients and internal departments.
Maintain project databases and ensure proper documentation control.
Inspect mechanical builds during project execution.
Facilitate clear communication and reporting across all stakeholders.
Support incoming inspection of equipment and components.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Provide support for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning activities.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a related industry.
Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong background in mechanical and process engineering.
Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors is advantageous.
