The Role The Financial Controller will take full ownership of the finance function, operating as a key commercial partner to the wider business.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on delivering robust financial control while driving performance through insight and analysis.
You will lead the delivery of monthly management accounts and performance reporting, ensuring accuracy, clarity and relevance for senior decision-making.
A key aspect of the role will be driving the budgeting and forecasting process, alongside providing forward-looking analysis that supports growth and profitability.
The role requires strong commercial engagement with operational teams, using financial data to challenge performance, identify opportunities and improve margins across the business.
You will also take ownership of cashflow and working capital management, ensuring the business is well positioned to support ongoing operations and investment.
Alongside this, you will maintain and strengthen financial controls, ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, and lead the audit process.
You will also take responsibility for developing the finance team and improving systems, processes and reporting capabilities in line with the evolving needs of the business.
The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant experience in a senior, commercially focused role.
They will bring a strong mix of technical expertise and business acumen, with the ability to influence and challenge at leadership level.
You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial information while using insight to drive performance.
Experience in a multi-site or operationally complex environment will be highly advantageous.
Strong leadership capability is essential, alongside a proactive mindset, excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.
