The chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure and Point of Sale (PoS) systems for our clients.
This position requires a proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills.
Since you will be traveling to various client sites throughout Dublin, having a full, clean Irish driving license is essential.
Key Responsibilities On-Site Support & Troubleshooting: Visit client locations across Dublin City to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking equipment.
Network Infrastructure: Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, firewalls, and switches to ensure secure and reliable network connectivity for clients.
PoS Systems Management: Deploy, maintain, and resolve issues related to Point of Sale (PoS) systems, ensuring minimal downtime for retail and hospitality clients.
Microsoft Environment Support: Provide expert support for Microsoft environments, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Server.
Customer Service Excellence: Represent the company by delivering outstanding customer service, managing client expectations, and explaining technical issues clearly and simply.
Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate and timely records of service calls, hardware inventory, and technical documentation using our ticketing system.
Required Qualifications & Experience Driving License: Must hold a full, clean Irish driving license.
Microsoft Expertise: Strong, proven experience working with Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, etc.).
Networking Knowledge: Good understanding of networking principles with hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers and firewalls.
PoS Experience: Previous experience supporting, installing, or maintaining Point of Sale (PoS) systems is required.
Experience: At least 12 years of experience in a field service, IT support, or similar technical role is necessary.
Technical Background: A degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is preferred.
Key Skills & Attributes Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
Customer Focus: A strong commitment to customer service with dedication to resolving client issues promptly and professionally.
Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently under pressure.
Independence & Reliability: Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your own schedule while working independently in the field.
