The candidate will work in partnership with CDNT clinicians, children and their families, and the staff in special school(s) in the north Dublin region to support children and young people with high support needs in relation to their regulations.
The Behaviour Support Specialist will provide specialist assessment, intervention, and support to Autistic children and young people (018 years) and complex behavioural needs who attend the service.
Key Requirements: Senior Behaviour Support Specialist Role
- Level 8 Health or Social Care Qualification with CORU registration where appropriate.
A minimum of 3 years post registration experience in supporting Autistic children/ young people with complex needs around their regulation/ behaviour within a rights-based & neuroaffirmative framework.
Permit to work in the Republic of Ireland Full clean driving license and use of a car Have experience working with children with complex needs and their families and/or experience in working within children and family services in the community Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, IT Skills and effective caseload management skills.
