Lead Data Engineer I'm currently working with a leading organisation in the IT Services and Digital Transformation space who are looking to add an experienced Lead Data Engineer to their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of a Microsoft Fabric-first data platform, helping to shape the future of data architecture and engineering across a range of enterprise-scale projects.
Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and optimisation of modern data platforms and solutions.
Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure technologies.
Drive best practices across data modelling, warehousing, governance, security, and quality.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship within data engineering projects.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver business-focused solutions.
Support DevOps adoption across the data platform, including CI/CD and release management.
Key Skills 6+ years' experience in Data Engineering, including senior-level responsibilities and technical leadership.
Strong experience designing and delivering scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions within Azure environments.
Excellent knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and lakehouse architectures.
Experience implementing DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and multi-environment deployments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Fabric.
Exposure to data platform migration and modernisation projects.
Knowledge of Power BI and wider analytics ecosystems.
Previous experience working in client-facing or cross-functional environments.
