Position Type: Athletics/Activities/Athletic Trainer Date Posted: 6/26/2026 Location: Newark Community High School Date Available: 08/20/2026 Closing Date: until filled District: Newark Community High School District 18 Position Summary: Newark High School is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services for our student-athletes. Start Date: August 20th, 2026 Salary: $55 per hour Responsibilities:
Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student-athletes Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes Communicate effectively with physicians, coaches, athletes, parents, and school personnel regarding injuries and return-to-play protocols Maintain accurate medical records and injury documentation Ensure compliance with IHSA, district, and state guidelines related to sports medicine and athlete safety Assist with pre-participation physicals, concussion management, and emergency action planning Qualifications:
Illinois Athletic Trainer license (or ability to obtain prior to employment) Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by athletic schedules
