Seeking a Principal Data Engineer/Technical Lead to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for designing high-performance database operations, mentoring a team of engineers, and optimizing system performance for enterprise customers. Key Responsibilities
Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of 3-5 engineers while conducting code reviews and fostering professional growth Design and implement Data Access Layers and middleware to ensure modularity and flexibility across different data storage mechanisms Architect and scale a secure MongoDB ecosystem, optimizing query performance and leading strategies for high availability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science; Master's preferred 10+ years of experience in backend, data, or platform engineering with a focus on latency and implementation challenges 2+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Player-Coach role, with hands-on coding experience Deep proficiency with SQL databases (Postgres), MongoDB, and building Data Access Layers High proficiency in Node.js or other major backend languages, with experience in cloud platforms and distributed systems
