Cameron Ashley is a wholesale distributor of roofing, insulation, gypsum, siding, and other specialty building products, serving the lumber and building materials industry across the United States.
Position Summary The Inside Sales Specialist drives sales growth of the company’s product and service portfolio within a specified geographical area. The role involves leveraging industry and product expertise to champion the company’s value add, proactively engaging existing and new customers, and increasing the company’s industry and sales footprint. Core duties include outbound calling, order processing, quote generation, and related sales activities.
Essential Functions
Engage consistently with new, existing, and prospective customers to build relationships.
Execute outbound sales activities, including cold calls, to acquire new business.
Sell the core product categories—Insulation, Roofing, Gypsum (Drywall), and Siding.
Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives to strengthen customer account relationships.
Apply product knowledge and market awareness to represent the company’s offerings effectively.
Analyze market conditions and competitive landscape to inform negotiations and pricing strategies.
Act as a key contact for sales quoting, order management, and order confirmations.
Educate and advise customers on market trends, changes, and challenges to serve as a trusted advisor.
Collaborate daily with the sales team to plan and execute market share growth across combined territories.
Prepare and submit weekly sales reports.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
1–3 years of sales experience with demonstrated success in outbound calls/cold calling.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience in the building products industry is helpful.
Up to 10% travel.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a drug test and background verification.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for any length of time.
