As our Desktop Support Technician for our IT team in Los Angeles, you'll play a key role supporting Psomas employees across assigned regional offices. In this hands-on support position, you'll provide frontline technical assistance, troubleshoot day-to-day technology issues, and help ensure employees have a reliable and seamless technology experience.

What You'll Do As our Desktop Support Technician, you will provide technical support, maintain endpoint systems, and help deliver a dependable and positive user experience across the organization. You will support Windows devices, Microsoft 365, engineering applications, and endpoint management solutions while assisting with day-to-day IT operations.
End User Support & Troubleshooting
Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals while troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and printing issues. Deliver timely support both remotely and in person while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Systems & Application Support
Support Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and common business applications. Install, configure, and troubleshoot software, including engineering applications such as Autodesk products. Experience supporting AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar applications is a plus.
User Account Administration
Manage user onboarding and offboarding activities, password resets, multi-factor authentication, Active Directory user accounts, Microsoft Entra ID, and access-related support tasks.
Endpoint Management
Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM). Assist with device imaging, software deployments, Windows updates, and endpoint lifecycle management.
Documentation & Ticket Management
Document incidents, requests, and resolutions within the IT ticketing system to ensure timely communication, accurate documentation, and effective issue tracking.
Team Collaboration & Operational Support
Partner with IT and HR teams on employee onboarding, equipment deployments, office technology initiatives, and other support activities. Participate in IT projects and provide occasional after-hours support as needed.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
3+ years of desktop support or help desk experience in a Windows environment.
Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM/MECM.
Basic understanding of cloud technologies and Microsoft 365 administration.
Experience supporting hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and time management skills.
Ability to travel between regional offices and provide occasional after-hours support.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit.
Experience working in an engineering, architecture, or consulting environment.
Microsoft certifications related to Windows, Microsoft 365, or Endpoint Management are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
$25-$28/hour (commensurate with experience)
