The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for achieving business results through effective people and process execution. This role directly manages the hourly team at the location and has full responsibility for product inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and warehouse operations within the location. The FCV Manager ensures product availability, operational compliance, and a safe and efficient workplace.
Job Responsibilities
- People Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and coach the hourly team to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate daily operations.
- Oversee scheduling, workload distribution, training, and performance management for associates.
- Participate in the hiring and onboarding of hourly staff.
- Champion service culture, employee engagement, and a positive team environment.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Maintain accurate product inventory through effective purchasing, receiving, stocking, rotation, and physical counts.
- Ensure FIFO, date code tracking, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Analyze and monitor key metrics such as days on hand, client fill rates, and shrink/overage reporting.
- Coordinate with Finance and other functions to resolve variances and improve product cost control.
- Operational Execution
- Supervise all daily warehouse activities, including product pulls for routes and timely preparation for deliveries.
- Partner with service and sales teams to resolve product issues and ensure client demand is met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT requirements (if applicable), and workplace safety practices.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
- Administrative & Reporting
- Track and report on inventory levels, productivity, and other operational KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing, receiving, and inventory adjustments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 35 years in warehouse, inventory, or operations management.
- Prior supervisory experience with frontline/hourly employees required.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/order management systems.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted; ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
