Project Lead

Location: Lisle IL Onsite/ Remote: Day 1 Onsite at customer location

Engineering Program manager who leads end to end lifecycle management of electric diesel engine commercial vehicle programs (Trucks and Bus), including new product introduction and sustaining engineering, by driving cross functional execution, system integration, manufacturing readiness, and post launch optimization to meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage integrated program plans across the full product lifecycle, including concept, design, validation, production launch, and sustaining activities.
  • Lead execution of engineering builds and production milestones, ensuring alignment with program schedules, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Lead sustaining engineering activities including field issue resolution, reliability improvements, warranty analysis, retrofit solutions, and cost reduction initiatives to enhance product performance and lifecycle value.
  • Lead cross functional teams across electrical, mechanical, controls software, manufacturing, quality, and service engineering to drive program execution.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to manage requirements, interfaces, and system level integration of vehicle subsystems such as ePowertrain, battery, charging systems, thermal, Chassis Cab wiring, and SW control systems.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across development and sustaining phases, and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions for technical and field issues.
  • Facilitate change control board (CCB) meetings to align functions in evaluation of cost, schedule, and quality impacts of the issues concerns.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness (OKTX), production ramp up, and ongoing production support by resolving constraints and improving process efficiency.
