Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR operations of a growing multi-location organization. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, ensuring consistent application of company policies, supporting employee relations matters, maintaining compliance, and helping deliver a positive employee experience.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing people, processes, and problem-solving while working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
Conduct employee relations investigations and assist in resolving workplace issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner.
Support performance management processes, including coaching conversations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
Administer leaves of absence, accommodations, workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and other employee programs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, policy communication, and employee documentation.
Maintain employee records and HR data within HRIS systems.
Process payroll ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance-related projects.
Partner with managers to provide practical HR guidance and support operational needs.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency, and the overall employee experience.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Needed
5+ years of Human Resources experience
Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Experience administering leaves, accommodations, and employee programs
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
Multi-location experience preferred
Healthcare, retail, hospitality, or service-industry experience preferred
PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred
You are approachable, organized, and dependable. You enjoy helping managers navigate employee issues, finding practical solutions, and ensuring processes are followed consistently. You can work independently, build strong relationships, and confidently manage the day-to-day HR responsibilities that keep an organization running smoothly.
