Supervise and coordinate the activities of all staff at the branch. Maintain a safe workplace environment, ensure compliance with applicable laws and attract and retain qualified team members. It is the Branch Manager's objective to meet or exceed the annual EBIT, sales budget and inventory goals while fulfilling the customers' expectations for supply of product and service.
Essential tasks include hiring and supervising employees, reviewing work processes, planning work schedules, communicating with employees, appraising and documenting employee performance, enforcing company policies, preparing reports, handling work-related injuries, working the parts counter, ensuring customer service, managing inventory, leading sales meetings, maintaining customer relationships, establishing preventive maintenance plans, and maintaining the branch appearance.
Skills required include monitoring, judgment and decision making, management of personnel resources, communicating, active learning, time management, mathematics, critical thinking, and coordination.
Attributes include oral expression, oral comprehension, problem sensitivity, and deductive reasoning.
Physical demands involve handling parts weighing up to 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time. Environmental conditions include inside/outside conditions, varied temperature changes, minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust, and vehicle noise.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate's degree in business administration preferred, minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy duty truck parts industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
